Initiative for the MphasiS employee

MphasiS is committed to drive a talent hierarchy, and strives to create an environment of learning and development for all its employees. We constantly assess our growing population and build our employee offerings based on the changing needs of our employees. We offer great opportunities to talented employees and identify specific skills, knowledge, values and attitudes that best suit our corporate culture, the client's expectations and our business goals.

Through the initiative "Ascend - Learn to Succeed", we offer 40 hours of learning to our employees, covering skills in technical, behavioral, leadership, domain, quality and process. We use multiple channels through which learning is delivered to the employees. Our MphasiS eLearning portal caters to a large number of courses in the technical, domain, process and behavioral space.

We have also built several niche programs that support Frontline managers, Leaders, High performers and High potential employees. Here is a glimpse into what each has to look forward to in MphasiS.

The MphasiS Learning Portal allows on-demand support tools that enhance the business and technical skills of our employees. It works as a career accelerator by providing a plethora of eLearning courses that are target oriented and aligned to business needs, and strategies to increase performance and business results. Ranging from PMP to SPHR certification training, the Learning Portal provides both generic and function/role specific training.

Employees can create a customized learning plan that allows them to address specific developmental goals as well as to keep track of their progress through this self-paced learning plan. The learning catalogue on the MphasiS Learning Portal currently holds over 6000 courses.

  • Leader Talent Pool (LTP): The Leader Talent Pool is a program that supports high potential employees (middle to upper management level) in their growth within MphasiS through specialized learning programs, coaching, and exposure to our Executive Council (EC) through what we call 'EC Connects'. At each level of the program, these employees are guided by senior leadership and given opportunities to lead from the front, and take on challenging roles within the organization. They are groomed to take on leadership roles and are prepared by the brightest to achieve success.
  • Executive Talent Pool (ETP): The Executive Talent Pool is a program that helps identify our high potential leaders and groom them to take on the reins of the organization. Through executive coaching, advanced management programs and individual learning roadmaps, the identified leaders are groomed to take on their next avatar. Each of these leaders gets visibility into the highest level of leadership at MphasiS and is given the first right of acceptance for all new, critical and high impact roles.

Virtual Language Lab

MphasiS has launched a first of its kind Virtual Language Lab which is instrumental in improving communication skills. This excellent interactive multimedia learning system helps to neutralize accent and to sensitize agents with various cultures. A stipulated set of training hours needs to be exhausted and subsequent evaluative tests need to be cleared for obtaining the final certification.

MphasiS strongly believes that constructive feedback is a strong proponent in building more effective learning roadmaps. Reflections -360°Development Survey was formulated to receive this feedback from employees.

The primary objective of 360° feedback is to invite specific, objective and constructive feedback from different stakeholders such as direct reports, peers, customers so that leaders are more attuned to their stakeholders' views - the appreciations as well as areas for improvement. Post this exercise, leaders are given an avenue to avail of individual coaching to build their learning roadmaps.

MphasiS strives to provide a balanced work environment for all its employees. MphasiS provides dedicated focus on women employees and regularly introduces new and unique programs to support women at the workplace. Some of the key policies include differentiated transport facilities for those who are expecting, child care facilities across our locations, and counseling services that center on women.
