BFL profit at Rs 9 cr - The Economic Times, April 13, 2001

BANGALORE-based software services and product company MphasiS BFL has reported a rise of 216 per cent in its net profit to Rs 8.9 crore for the third quarter ending March '01, against a loss of Rs 2.8 crore reported in the corresponding period last year. Total income during the quarter under review rose from Rs 34.2 crore to Rs 51.6 crore, denoting an increase of 51 per cent. The rise in profits is primarily attributed to an increase in productivity and high realisation from the solutions business, said the company. Income from software development and products stood at Rs 51.1 crore compared to Rs 33.9 crore earned last year.
