domestic BPO business
Mumbai, July 19, 2005
The MphasiS BFL Group, a leading provider of IT and BPO solutions
today announced the establishment of its Business Process Outsourcing
facility in Noida, in the National Capital Region of the country.
MphasiS currently has BPO facilities in Bangalore, Mangalore, Pune
& Tijuana in Mexico that cater to a wide range of international
and Indian companies.
According to Jerry Rao, Chairman & CEO,
MphasiS BFL, “The volume of our business from domestic customers
has witnessed a sharp rise in the past few years and through the
establishment of the Noida facility, MphasiS has made a strategic
decision to cater to and further tap the domestic segment. In the
initial stage of operation, the Noida facility will cater to clients
in the telecom and financial services industry and we expect to
see a significant increase in both our volume of business as well
as overall client base.”
Bhaskar Menon, President, MphasiS BPO
said, “MphasiS’ BPO operation has a strong geographical
presence across the country – in the Western & Southern
parts of the country. Over the past few years, the National Capital
Region has displayed potential as the nation’s next leading
ITES hub. The region benefits from a number of advantages due to
its conducive investment climate, highly educated workforce, advanced
infrastructure, high level of inward investment into the region
and proximity to the nation’s capital. Recognising the need
to have a base in this high growth region, Noida was chosen as the
location for the establishment of our next BPO facility.”
The MphasiS BPO facility in Noida has the capacity to house close
to 1000 employees when fully operational and is scheduled to commence
operations in September this year.
