Near zero downtime billing upgrade for a large Telco

Mphasis upgraded the Oracle Billing and Revenue Management suite used by the client for mobile data and Internet billing with near zero downtime. The client is a leading telecommunications and information services companies in Australia providing broadband, voice, and wireless services to consumers and businesses.

The upgrade process involved complex software customization. The system processed 15 million usage records a day and involved more than 15 billing cycles with a DB size of 15 TB. Mphasis upgraded the Oracle BRM suite and re-engineered the billing application and its DB structure to suit the new version of Oracle BRM with near zero downtime.
