Our client is a leading pharma enterprise producing medicines and vaccines for a wide range of medical disciplines, including immunology, oncology, cardiology, endocrinology, and neurology.
THE OBJECTIVE
The pharma company was looking for the migration and “like to like conversion” of SAP capabilities to HANA DB. They wanted to utilize SAP’s new architecture for future-ready positioning for business leadership, and wanted to have minimal disruptions and downtime.
We upgraded the ECC core to S/4 on HANA Enterprise Edition and leveraged new capabilities for IT operations. With a risk-based and prioritized approach to optimization, we replaced ECM/ECR core functionality with MOC (which was offered in SCP, developed for client) and the routing guide (for transportation) with SAP build Rail Car Management as an add-on. Additionally, ATTP (which was an add-on in ECC), was moved into the core with S4 in FP01.
We added value through the deployment of AWS Migration, SAP Cloud Platform, MDG, ARIBA Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG), digitization and test automation
Overall, we migrated 10 instances to HANA DB, 69 SAP instances to ASE DB, and 11 Hana to Hana SAP instances — and managed the new versions of add-ons — all with minimal disruption to business
