April 18, 2007

EDS has been ranked the largest information technology (IT) services firm for the second year in a row by Fortune Magazine in its 2007 Fortune 500 listing, the magazine's annual list of big U.S. companies.

EDS secured the top spot in the IT Services category with 2006 revenue of $21.3 billion. Among the listing's 500 companies, EDS ranked No. 111 overall this year compared to No. 108 last year. Rounding out the IT services category were Computer Sciences, Science Applications International, Unisys, Affiliated Computer Services, Perot Systems and CACI. IBM and Hewlett-Packard were listed in a separate computer hardware category.

Each year, Fortune identifies the 500 largest U.S. companies based on total revenue during the prior year and classifies them according to industry. The magazine will publish a separate Global 500 list later in the year.
