MphasiS extends certification service to mobile developers through Symbian Signed
High value, easier and widespread application signing to mobile developers and operators
Symbian Signed is the industry-endorsed application signing program that promotes best practise in Symbian OS content and application development. MphasiS has thus joined the select group of companies worldwide, who have partnered Symbian for their certification service.
According to Anant Koppar, President, MphasiS Technologies, “Our expertise in operating systems and validation services will add value for developers launching best-in-class Symbian OS mobile applications. MphasiS, with its expertise in both enterprise and engineering markets, is in a unique position to provide added value and knowledge to Symbian Signed.” MphasiS will operate its global services based out of its subsidiary in China.
“New Symbian Signed test house – MphasiS, will provide excellent value and choice for Symbian OS developers”, said Geoff Preston, Technology Operations Director, Symbian. “This announcement demonstrates our continued commitment to drive down certification costs and ensure accessibility for Symbian Signed world-wide”.
Developers will benefit from competitive priced testing. Symbian Signed approved test Houses follow the same application testing criteria designed against network operator and mobile manufacturer requirements. Symbian Signed is designed to satisfy mobile developers’ needs and ensure a thriving, open market for trusted mobile applications by providing a single, low-cost and unified certification program. The program also delivers developer authentication and anti-tamper security for Symbian OS applications. For more information please see www.symbiansigned.com.
