Second wave caused unforeseen damage to the human lives, pushing huge population towards poverty and hunger. Mphasis in partnership with Kaushalya Foundation provided 6,50,000+ meals to the families affected in regions across India. This initiative benefitted 9000+ lives.
The pandemic badly affected human lives with medical facilities in severe shortage. Mphasis through United Way Bengaluru supported 50 bed COVID Care Centre in RR Nagar. In the course of time, the Center treated 627 patients. The partnership also supported vaccination drive for 9747 people in rural Bengaluru.
Mphasis through GiveIndia extended support to deliver healthcare and humanitarian aid in rural areas through an extensive network of NGOs and Government partnership. These initiatives impacted 9595 beneficiaries in Mumbai and Pune regions.
Mphasis along with NASSCOM Foundation supported Karnataka CHC Hospital with immediate healthcare equipment during severe shortages of medical supplies across the country. In addition to that, 500 dry rations were provided to the affected families and 18323 doses of vaccines were administered to Person with Disabilities (PWDs), senior citizen, LGBTQ and tribal communities impacting more than 30000 lives.
To strengthen health infrastructure, Mphasis along with AIF aimed to provide immediate medical supplies such as oxygen concentrators, PPE kits, ventilators and N95 masks to government hospitals across the regions in Tamil Nadu. These support in turn impacted 115460 beneficiaries.
