Arivu is an innovative learning program which was conceptualized and then implemented by Headstreams with support from Mphasis in 2015, to address the key challenges that exist in the state of education. The program uses play-based teaching methods to improve learning outcomes in government schools. Mphasis has supported Headstreams over a period of 4 years, impacting 6000 students in Karnataka.

Headstreams is a non-profit organization working since 2008 to bring about positive change in society by promoting free play, open learning, and sustainable livelihoods.
Diya Ghar is a Montessori based pre-school center for children of migrant laborers in Bengaluru. Mphasis in partnership with Diya Ghar, supported pre-primary education of children from lower socio-economic group, especially from often neglected ‘migrant laborer community status’ and increased awareness among parents on the importance of education, health and hygiene and child sexual abuse. The partnership was for a period of 1 year.
For the last four years, Diya Ghar has been changing the lives of the migrant community in Bangalore by providing pre-school education for children of laborers in a nurturing environment.
Mphasis partnered with Katalyst for a period of 3 years to prepare young women for leadership roles through pursuit of professional education. We supported 45 young women from low-income families, pursuing professional education through various development intervention such as skill enhancement, mentor support and exposure. The students are also exposed to various role models in the corporate world through internships and annual conclave of women leaders from various walks of life.
Katalyst prepares young women for leadership roles, thereby creating a wider talent pool for India and helping bridge the gender divide.
Musiri is predominantly a cluster of weavers from low-income families and weave cotton sarees or i dhotis. Musiri is a project initiated by Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF) in partnership with Mphasis, to digitally empower the weaver community of the region to bring them out of poverty to lead them towards better livelihood opportunities. Mphasis has supported DEF over a period of 4 years, and the initiative has positively impacted and improved the economic prospects of more than 7000 handloom weavers in Musiri, Trichy.

DEF aims to connect unreached and underserved communities of India in an effort to bring them out of digital darkness and equip them with access to information.
Mphasis-Nudge Gurukul is a 100-day residential program in life management, designed to provide 360 degree learning and support experience for underprivileged young women and men in the age group of 18-25. It also places them in jobs in an urban setting along with a life-long support system. The program is aimed at empowering youth with employable skills for sustainable absorption into beauty, data entry and driving sector, in addition to training in financial and digital literacy. So far, in the last 3 years, the program has trained about 600 students from under-privileged background in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
The/Nudge Gurukul Impact Report
The/Nudge LifeSkills Foundation is an Indian non-profit organization established in July 2015 in Bengaluru. The foundation's focus areas are poverty and unemployment in India.
Mphasis has collaborated with United Way of Bengaluru to revive the Mahadevapura Lake, by setting up a Sewage Treatment Plant with a capacity to treat 1 million liters of sewage per day. Additionally, the partnership aimed at developing a sustainable model of rejuvenation that will involve increased local participation through community activation and corporate volunteering. These efforts eventually improved local biodiversity, increased community ownership through volunteering and reduced level of harmful effluents and pollutants.
