Nitin Rakesh, a distinguished leader in the IT services industry, joined Mphasis as its Chief Executive Officer and Director in January 2017.
Prior to joining Mphasis, Nitin Rakesh was the Chief Executive Officer and President of Syntel (a NASDAQ listed IT Services Company). Nitin has a proven track record of delivering profitable growth at industry leading operating margins. Before he was appointed as the CEO, he served as President, Americas for Syntel, where he headed Business Development and North American operations.
Nitin has deep domain expertise in Banking, Financial Services and Insurance verticals. He has strong customer-orientation, large deal experience, and a track record of delivering transformative digital solutions. Nitin has an entrepreneurial mindset and a focus on launching innovative new service offerings, including in automation.
Nitin served at Syntel in various capacities (most recently as the CEO) between 2012 to 2016 and also before that between 2002 to 2008.
Between 2008 to 2012, he served as the CEO and Managing Director of Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company. During his tenure, the company was named "Most Innovative ETF, Asia Pacific" at the 2011 ETF Awards in New York, and the "Most Innovative Mutual Fund, India" in 2010 at the Crisil - S&P Mutual Fund Awards.
He has also worked with the TCG Group, a transnational private equity and investments firm as the Head of Banking & Financial Services Sales at TCG Software Services between 1999 to 2002.
Earlier in his career, Nitin worked for Unit Trust of India, setting up offshore mutual funds and secondary Market Research Cell, Product Development and Risk Management divisions.
American Business Awards 2018 recognized Nitin as ‘Executive of the Year - Computer Services’, felicitating him with Gold Stevie under the Management award category.
Nitin holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer Science) from Delhi Institute of Technology, Delhi University and has received his Master’s in Management from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai and is also an alumni of Harvard Business School’s CEO Workshop.
Eric is responsible for Mphasis’ global Legal and Compliance function and policies at Mphasis. He has spent nearly twenty years guiding international market-leading public and private equity-owned IT companies.
Prior to Mphasis, Eric served for 2 years as Vice President - Legal, at Syntel, Inc., an IT Services company, where he was responsible for advising executive management on a wide range of matters including domestic and international strategic and commercial transactions, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, employment, business development, corporate governance and compliance.
From 2002 through 2015, Eric served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of INTTRA, Inc., the world’s largest electronic transactional platform for the ocean shipping industry. His responsibilities included worldwide legal, privacy, mergers and acquisitions, litigation, intellectual property and patent strategy and compliance activities, as well as government and regulatory affairs. He also managed INTTRA's Human Resources Department. Eric joined INTTRA in 2001 as Director of Business Planning and Projects and was appointed as General Counsel in 2002.
Prior to joining INTTRA, Eric served as Director of Business Development for Newark-based Net2Phone, Inc., a leader in delivering voice services over data networks. Before his work at Net2Phone, Eric served as Director of Strategic Relations for Inlumen, Inc., a web-based application service provider and content aggregator for the financial services industry, in New York City.
From 1996 through 1999, Eric was in private practice in New York City, where he specialized in complex civil litigation matters. From 1989 through 1994 Eric served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Kings County District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, New York.
Eric received his Juris Doctorate at the Emory University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Vassar College.
As President, and Member of the Executive Council, Dinesh is the global head for Direct-Core Business and Digital across industry verticals.
With over 20 years of cross-functional leadership experience spanning strategy, technology innovation, M&A and marketing, Dinesh has been instrumental in catalyzing Mphasis growth through focus in delivering business value and delighting customers.
Under Dinesh's leadership, Mphasis has transformed its solution and services portfolio that have enabled Direct-core business to grow faster than the industry. Also, Mphasis is now consistently ranked as #1 or #2 service provider by our top 5 Industry leading customers.
In his previous role as the Global Head of Mphasis' Specialized Market Unit, Dinesh led the development of next gen solutions in the areas of Mobility, Analytics and BPO/KPO. He also set up the Mphasis’ Corporate Development Office including the Mergers & Acquisitions team, Marketing and innovation incubation charter in the areas of Payment Solutions and Product Engineering Services.
Prior to his assignment at Mphasis, Dinesh was the Head of Product Development at BMC Software for the Remedy ITSM suite of products. He was also Director of Engineering at Marimba Inc, a leading Silicon Valley start-up, where he led the development of award winning, next generation products in the niche fields of Data Center Automation, Desktop Management and Mobile Management.
Dinesh has a vast and successful experience in leading global teams to enable offshoring of enterprise product development in India, Israel, Canada and Ukraine, with proven expertise in amalgamating technology commercialization, business acumen global client relationships, marketing and strategic planning.
Dinesh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Technology from College of Engineering, Trivandrum in India, and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Louisiana.
A member of the Executive Council at Mphasis, Elango heads Sales and Delivery of all business lines in HP Channel.
He is responsible for market facing activities as well as delivery across the DXC & HP Channel, focuses on enabling our customers build strong business processes and enhanced end customer experience through digital transformation. Elango partners with CXOs in their transformation journey by strengthening business relationships, and through his thought leadership in the space of technology and operations.
Previously, Elango was the Chief HR Officer at Mphasis and defined the organization’s talent strategies and programs. He lead a global team of human resource professionals responsible for attracting, developing and retaining the best talent through world class recruiting, learning and development, compensation & benefits, engagement and retention practices.
As an additional portfolio, he also managed Emerging Geographies Business Unit at Mphasis. Being a versatile Leader, he has donned multiple hats in the past as the Head of Business Operations, Corporate Social Responsibility, Marketing and Corporate Communications.
Prior to Mphasis, Elango served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources for the offshore unit at Bank of America and has worked in senior positions at organizations like UB Group, The Raheja Group and Quality Inns (India) in the past.

Sundar Subramanian (Sundar) is responsible for Global Delivery, starting with our Direct Core business for FY18.
Sundar has an in-depth global experience in the services industry with an outstanding track record in leading and growing small to large business units. In his career spanning over 27 years, he has spearheaded successful global delivery, consulting, operations and people management functions.
In his most recent role at Cognizant, where he spent over 14 years, Sundar was a member of the Executive Leadership Team steering the global delivery function for their healthcare vertical. In addition to handling the delivery to healthcare customers across all the service lines, he played a significant role in Cognizant’s largest acquisition – Trizetto, for its dominance in the healthcare product space. Subsequent to this acquisition, he integrated the implementation and consulting services of the acquired company with Cognizant’s healthcare delivery organization, and also set up a product engineering group in India for product development. Prior to this, he led the growth of the nascent communication vertical that services the telecom and cable industries for seven years. Under his leadership, this vertical grew significantly in North America, Europe and Asian geographies, opening newer markets.
Prior to Cognizant, he was with PricewaterhouseCoopers /IBM servicing Fortune 100 customers as a part of its Management Consulting Services, based out of New Jersey. Earlier to this, he was with Citicorp Overseas Software, working for Citibank and its affiliates in the Financial Services industry.
Sundar holds a Masters in Management from NJIT, and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University.
A member of the Executive council of Mphasis, Puneet Bhirani has recently taken over as CEO of Digital Risk, an Mphasis company. In this role, Puneet is based out of Maitland, Florida and is responsible for managing the P&L of Digital Risk business.
Previously, Puneet was the Chief People and Administrative Officer (CPAO) for Mphasis, where he managed key functions such as HR, CIO, CRO, CSR and Business Operations. He has a track record for ensuring Mphasis attracts the best talent, employees get the best career development experience, tools and technologies and infrastructure in a secure environment.
In addition, Puneet also heads the Payment Managed Services SBU which manages 9,000 ATM’s on a Total outsourcing model across India for various Banks.
Puneet has over 20 years of experience working in diverse fields such as Green field projects setup, driving operational efficiency, sales, resource management, Integration, consulting, business analysis and operations. He has been with Mphasis for over 15 years across diverse functions. He was awarded Mphasian of the year in 2009. Prior to joining Mphasis, he worked with Planetasia Ltd and Asea Brown Boveri Ltd.
Puneet holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) degree, MBA in Marketing from SP Jain Institute of Management, Mumbai and AMP from Wharton School, Philadelphia.
Srikanth is an industry veteran and seasoned Human Resources Officer with close to 30 years’ experience in business focused innovative HR systems & processes, and institutionalizing global benchmarks for large enterprises as well as start-ups. He has strategized and spearheaded numerous people initiatives, seamlessly executing them with laser focus on simplicity, strong business relevance and impact. His functional experience spans across resource strategy, manufacturing operations, industrial relations, HR technology implementation and process excellence in multiple industries including Manufacturing, IT/ITES and Telecom.
Srikanth started his career with ITC, where he worked for about 10 years across various geographies before moving to a Silicon Valley start-up -Aztec Software and then to GE Capital International Services (GECIS) as their HR Head. Further to the sale of GECIS, he was the Global HR Head at Syntel Inc and then the country Head HR for Hewlett Packard (HP) India. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to invest and work with tech startups, which he passionately continues. He then took on the role of HR Director at Airtel and later as Head of HR Strategy and Culture for Syntel.
Srikanth holds a Masters in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from Tata Institute of Social (TISS) and Bachelor of General Law from Mumbai University. He has also attended various executive programs with AIM Manila, Wharton, GE Crotonville and Harvard.
Surya is a Chartered Accountant with more than 30 years of experience and has provided strategic leadership to business teams in the areas of financial planning, accounting, taxation, cost optimization, legal and statutory compliance and treasury.
As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Surya is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, MIS, pricing, direct and indirect tax for global operations, and investor relations.
Surya plays a valuable leadership role in Mphasis' transformation and brings exceptional insight into systems and process improvements in order to achieve growth and profitability.
Prior to joining Mphasis through acquisition of AIG captive in 2009, Surya was Vice President and CFO at AIG Systems Captive of AIG Inc., where he was instrumental in setting up the offshore development center, including obtaining necessary statutory approvals, chartering and implementing policies & processes.
Prior to AIG, he was the Vice President and CFO of Deutsche Software Captive of Deutsche Bank and General Manager and CFO at Ramco Systems in India.
In 2014, Surya was the proud recipient of the CFO India Award. Surya was recently recognized as one of India’s 50 Best CFO's 2017-18 by White Page International.
Surya is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from St. Xavier's College and graduated with Honors from Bombay University in Economics. He has attended executive management programs in IFMR & ISB, Hyderabad.
