A LEADING PROVIDER OF HOME HEALTHCARE EQUIPMENT IMPROVES THEIR PROCESS EFFICIENCY BY 30% WITH THE ADOPTION OF RPA AND LOW-CODE PLATFORM

CLIENT

One of the leading providers of home healthcare equipment and related services across the USA, offering a comprehensive range of products and services for in-home care and delivery of respiratory therapy, obstructive sleep apnea treatment, and negative pressure wound therapy, along with additional equipment and services.

BUSINESS CHALLENGE

The client's legacy system lacked agility, scalability, openness, and integration capabilities. The client adopted a cloud solution to automate the systems, reduce infrastructure costs and technical debt, but faced challenges while migrating all the workflows and syncing the core and BPM systems data. The client wanted to simplify and migrate the workflows and eliminate their dependencies from the ACIS/mainframe systems to scale dynamically in response to business demand.

SOLUTION

The client engaged Mphasis to implement a system to simplify and migrate all the legacy workflows and provide application development, testing, and infrastructure support services. We leveraged PEGA’s out-of-the-box functionalities and low Code to simplify and migrate the below workflows to PEGA cloud PaaS hosted on AWS

  • Client internal workflows (namely, New Order Sale/Rent and Resupply)
  • Compliance workflows (namely Veteran Act, Travel Equipment, Deficit Reduction Act)

We further implemented PEGA RPA (Robotic Process Automation) capabilities to reduce manual errors, the turnaround time for processing each order and eliminate training costs.
