USE CASES

Cascading Failures

When a server fails due to overload in a high availability environment, there is an increase in the probability of failure. The resulting domino effect takes down all the replicas for a service. Using Mphasis SRE’s automated, pre-configured approaches, we enable companies to deploy specific transactions via load balancers and servers or provide reduced operational metrics.

Application and Server Overload

When a stream of different transaction types come to an application from various users at a rate nearing threshold value (for the applications or servers), an absence of remedial actions will result in server failure, application instability, and unavailability of the application. At Mphasis SRE, we record, monitor, and benchmark threshold levels against past trends. If threshold values are approached, we create a new instance of the application and server layers and route additional traffic to these new servers till the parameters are safely back within normal range.
