Alight Solutions is an Information technology and consulting company based in Lincolnshire, Illinois. The company provides cloud-based digital business and human capital service solutions; particularly within the areas of wealth, health and Human Resources.


The client aimed to set up greenfield IT processes, business-aligned standard operating procedures, processes, tools, and technologies and build a service delivery platform while accelerating separation from the parent company. To achieve the business goals, the client wanted to optimize delivery processes, integrate monitoring, observability, management, and reporting while reducing the cost of operations and ensuring zero disruption to all their customers during the demerger/transition phase.




Mphasis created business service mapping and implemented its proprietary Integrated Service Management and Automation platform – InfraGenie™ in just 8 weeks. InfraGenie™ enabled IPC, Service requests along with a self-service portal, with 147 catalog items for a 24000-user base. We also delivered the following services to the client in an integrated delivery model.

  • Enabled AWS integrations to InfraGenie™ for cloud support
  • ITIL V3 based managed services support with SLAs for outcome based delivery
  • 24 X 7 Monitoring and service desk for hybrid infrastructure estate (DC and AWS) and applications
  • Rapid SD transition for an early exit from TSAs, while ensuring no or minimal business impact during separation on environmental changes
  • Onboard cloud management platform, self-service catalogues, single click deployments and self-service dashboards
  • Applying best practices for ongoing AWS Cloud cost optimization.
  • Improve the maturity of IT operations with continuous service improvements
  • Support key AWS services for EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda Functions, AWS SNS, Amazon API gateway, Amazon EFS, Amazon DynamoDB, CloudWatch, AMI
  • Leverage NewRelic to monitor and debug application related observability and monitoring
  • Manage 2 data centers, over 9000 (On-premises and AWS) servers across 19 remote server location. Supported 300+ DMZ, 9PB Storage (DC, AWS) , 3 PB Backup, Over 2000 Database Instances (DC, AWS and 8500+ Middleware Instances, 500+ Network devices, 28000 + Mailbox for 26,000 contacts per month and 22000 employees across 5 countries
